Tracers Appoints Background Screening Industry Veteran John Lawrence as CMO

BROOKSVILLE, Fla.--Tracers Information Specialists, Inc. (Tracers), one of the leading data providers for investigators, risk mitigation, debt collections, and background screening businesses large and small is proud to announce that background screening industry and marketing veteran, John Lawrence has joined the organization as a senior executive.
Mr. Lawrence joins Tracers as Chief Marketing Officer, reporting to the company’s President, Erik Pickering. In his new role John will manage all marketing and advertising, sales enablement, and contribute across multiple other areas to help Tracers achieve their ambitious strategic growth endeavors.

Mr. Lawrence was most recently Vice President of Marketing & Business Development at General Information Services (GIS), where he served for over a decade and built an award winning in-house Marketing Department that contributed to the organization’s dramatic rise to become one of the largest background screening providers in the world. Mr. Lawrence also led their Business Development Department and provided a wealth of competitive intelligence that fueled sales successes.

Prior to GIS, Mr. Lawrence worked for a variety of advertising agencies, promotional product businesses, and retail chains in a marketing and advertising capacity as Web Business Manager, Art Director, Marketing Manager, and Director of Advertising. Mr. Lawrence holds a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Florida Atlantic University.
